Hiroshima-ken Kure-shi - Ando no Seto
Ando no Seto is the area around the strait between mainland and Kurahashi Island. Ando Tosen (Ando ferry) is the shortest ferry service (120 meters, fare is 70 yen) in Japan. If the ferry is not at the pier, one just calls out to the opposite pier and the ferry will come and get you. The 2 bridges, Ando Great Bridge and Second Ando Great Bridge, connect the mainland and the island, but do not allow pedestrians.
The nearest train station is Kure station of JR Kure Line.
