The nearest train station is Shin-Nagata Station of JR Kobe Line
As one of the activity of the Kobe Tetsujin Project ( http://www.kobe-tetsujin.com/ ), a 1:1 Tetsujin 28 monument (18m tall) is built at Wakamatsu Park in Shin-Nagata, the rebuilt area of Nagata, one of the heaviest hit area of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake (M7.3) on 17 Jan 1995.
The monument was officially completed on 04 Sep 2009, but the park housing the monument was officially completed on 25 Nov 2009. The photos in this page were taken on 12 Nov 2009, before the completion of the park.
