The Ultraman Shopping Street is actually called Soshigaya Shopping Street. It is located near Soshigaya-Okura Station of the Odakyu Odawara Line. It is nick-named Ultraman Shopping Street because the HQ of Tsubaraya, the production house that makes the Ultraman series, is located a few hundred meters south of the station. The lamp-posts of the shopping street have the Ultraman flag hanging on them.
As for Tsubaraya, I have visited the production house back in 1990. They told me I was the second foreigner groups to visit them. I did not have an appointment beforehand, and fortunately, they allowed us to visit the properties room, and allow us to took pictures of the Ultraman suits and monster suits there. Those are film photos that I have not scanned into digital format yet, so not posted in this site for the time being. The stuntmen working there also gave us tons of souvniers.
